Queensland University Scholarships 2025-2026 are currently open for international students. These scholarships are offered for undergraduate and master’s studies. These scholarships are worth up to $10,000.

Scholarships are available for outstanding international students in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs in Science at UQ. University of Queensland values diversity and inclusion and encourages applications from those who bring diversity to the university. The Faculty of Science also wishes to encourage gender balance in its admissions.

1. The scholarship is valued at $3,000. However, the payment of these scholarships depends on the recipients fulfilling the obligations mentioned earlier by the time the payment is due.

3. The funds will be deposited directly into each recipient’s chosen Australian bank account.

UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship:

  • Achieved a minimum ATAR of 99.90 (or equivalent)
  • Completed Year 12 in 2023 or 2022 (if you’re on a gap year).
  • And either of the below: Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder;
  • Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.
  • have not completed any previous tertiary study other than as part of your Year 11–12 studies (e.g. Enhanced Studies Program)
  • have applied for a tertiary place through QTAC and have UQ listed as your 1st QTAC preference as at 18 December 2025 are intending to enrol as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program in 2025 (or 2026 if deferring your tertiary place)

Procedures to apply for the university of Queensland scholarship 

Science international scholarship

1. lodge an official UQ undergraduate or postgraduate program through the university website: https://study.uq.edu.au/admissions

2. Receive a UQ Student ID Number and an offer.

3. Complete the Science International Scholarship online application form https://scholarships.uq.edu.au/scholarship/science-international-scholarships

 4. Submit your Application by 5 pm (AEST) on the scholarship closing date.

UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship

1. To get started, you will need your QTAC Application number and evidence of your best achievements from Years 11 and 12. This should include things you’ve done in leadership roles and helping in your community
